ACT 158  HB1437 This Bill wants more restrictions on level 3 & 4, making where they can't go withing 100 of a water park, swimming area, or childeren's playground withing an Arkansas state park or a plublic park.  

HB1535 To provide an enhanced sentence for persons convicted of rape of a child twelve years of age or younger; to permit the department of corrections to administer medroxyprogesterone acetate treatment for chemical castration.

ACT 357 HB1579  an incarcerated person shall not be eligible for reassessment until his or her release from incarceration.

 

 

SENATE:

ACT 362   SB393  This was added to a bill for Level 4 At the time of the offense was more than twenty-four (24) years of age and the victim of the offense was less than fifteen (15) years of age.

SB375  Passed the Senate, now is waiting in the House.  Capital rape is punishable as follows: (A) If the defendant was eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time he or she committed the offense: (i) Death; or (ii) Life imprisonment without parole.  (B) If the defendant was younger than eighteen (18) years of age at the time he or she committed the offense, life imprisonment with the possibility of parole after serving a minimum of twenty (20) years’ imprisonment under § 16-93-621

 

SB490 Has not passed the Senate. Once a juvenile is ordered to register as a sex offender, he or she shall be subject to the registration requirements set forth in §§ 12-12- 25 904, 12-12-906, 12-12-908, 12-12-909, and 12-12-912, with the exception that the circuit court may waive the two-hundred-fifty-dollar fee under § 12-12- 27 906.

 

SB539 -- Just a clean up bill.  Has not passed. To update and clarify certain portions of the law regarding the division of community correction and the division of correction; to clarify references to community correction centers
